The fascination that the kaleidoscope has always aroused the interest on it showed scholars, philosophers, artists over the past two centuries, has made a valuable and fine collectibles, a prestigious gift to give, a mysterious optical instrument timeless. The inventor of the kaleidoscope, the Scottish physicist David Brewster, through an essay of Applied Optics A Treatise on Kaleidoscope, released in 1819 in London, devoting an entire volume to this extraordinary tool, shows how a simple object can hide the profound meanings able to stimulate both extensive research and philosophical, literary and artistic works, that the fantasy of a common observer. Among others, inspiring the search for one of the most famous mathematicians of the twentieth century, Harold Scott MacDonald Coxeter, in 1933, in fact, was able to classify kaleidoscopes, thus initiating the investigation into the geometry beyond the third dimension. Our proposal includes a kaleidoscope of brass with wooden box and seven different types of effects: magic tube, flake glass, glass discs, lenses, and others, and comes complete with wooden support to sustain when mounted.
